OVERVIEW

Program at a Glance

The University of Manitoba Orthopaedic Spine Fellowship accepts 3 fellows per year from either an orthopaedic surgery or neurosurgery background. Fellows receive comprehensive, hands-on training in the full breadth of spine surgery — from minimally invasive procedures to complex deformity reconstruction.

Training takes place across Health Sciences Centre and affiliated sites in Winnipeg, under the direct mentorship of our fellowship-trained attending surgeons.

ELIGIBILITY

Who Can Apply

Orthopaedic Surgery

Candidates who have completed, or are completing, an accredited orthopaedic surgery residency program.

Neurosurgery

Candidates who have completed, or are completing, an accredited neurosurgery residency program with interest in spine.
